Broken Hearts Bleed Ink - The Actress Adorable

The Midwest's newly formed alternative rock band; The Actress Adorable;
has successfully forged a distinct family-like chemistry in spite of the
very different musical backgrounds of the band members. Although each
member brings a distinct style to the band, they have successfully fused
their varied musical influences into a cohesive and exciting new sound.

The Actress Adorable recently entered the studio to record their first
three song sampler release, "When Did Summer Begin". The songs are a
combination of the hard work and determination of the members, as well as
a melding of their personal experiences and pasts. Just as the summer
quickly passes us by, a lifetime of missed opportunity can bear a high
regret. "When Did Summer Begin" captures the essence of appreciating
life’s common treasures which we so often unknowingly take for
granted; and strives to express the importance of living life to the
fullest. The album was recorded in Cedar Falls, IA at the Barn Studio by
producer Christian Brown. The guys chose to stay close to their roots
and their Midwest identity by using a local production company. The
Actress Adorable's first work is scheduled for release in Summer of 2008.

In July of 2007, front man Bryan Van Veldhuizen and guitarist Jesse
Barnes; along with bassist Mike Hutton, second guitarist Eric Garcia and
drummer Mitchell Seehusen decided to break away from their varied pasts
and pursue a new sound together. Drawn to each other by a shared passion
for music, the guys quickly found a common voice; exploring current
issues through quality melodies and lyrics.

One of their first efforts together was "Breaking Hearts Bleed Ink".
With this initial success, their determination and passion grew into a
distinct writing style that produced "When Did Summer Begin" and
"Crayons". Each collaboration has brought the band closer together and
even more determined to let their collective voice be heard.

When queried by producer Christian Brown during a recording session,
Bryan touched on some of the meaning behind the song title selection.
"Well "Breaking Hearts Bleed Ink" was inspired by the idea that when you
have a broken heart your emotions and feelings are all expressed through
writing those ideas down onto paper with ink, and just like the blood
flowing through your body keeps you alive, the words that you put down
in ink are sometimes the only thing that keep you going during tough
times. "When Did Summer Begin" focuses on the beauty of taking chances."
Lead guitarist Jesse adds "It’s like going all-in during a high stakes
game of love."

All dreams included, The Actress Adorable is continually writing new
material and plans to release a full length debut album later this year
