Broken Stars (Demo Version) Lyrics

Shooting daggers at me
Letting it be known, you're not impressed
I never fail at failing all your testsDon't be so proud
'Cause you're still so scared to be alone
And you can't change your mindYou won't embrace this
But you'll accept this
You can't let goBroken stars by a single shattered mirror
Seven years of trust
I know you'll never change for anyone
[Incomprehensible]My mind's made up
And I would know I'd do the right thing
Get up and stand tallMy mind's made up
Why am I scared
I won't be able to get up when I fallWe cast a single shadow for so long now
It's so hard to see the sun at all
But you need light to see the writing on the wallMy mind's made up
And I would know I'd do the right thing
Get up and stand tallMy mind's made up

Why am I scared
I won't be able to get up when I fall
Into the hole I've madeI place myself alone
I'll find the strength within myself
To climb out on my own, ownMy mind's made up
And I would know I'd do the right thing
Get up and stand tallMy mind's made up
Why am I scared
I won't be able to get up when I fall, yeahThese broken stars
Should be brought back up in the sky
I can still feel the scars
I won't, I won't let you dieWe won't, won't fade away
Let's now, right now
Save this lonely place

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
