Brother John Lyrics

Are you sleeping brother John
If you feel like weeping brother John
Please won't you hear me brother John
I'll just wait and see brother JohnCan't you see by the will of your hand
You can give it a try and just name your price
And everybody in this rock and roll band
Don't wanna preach don't wanna give advice
But the music's playing and all we're saying
Is come along and jam
And it's hard to be believed what can be achieved
With an outstretched handAre you sleeping brother John
If you feel like weeping brother John
Please won't you hear me brother John
I'll just wait and see brother JohnAre you sleeping brother John
If you feel like weeping brother John
Please won't you hear, hear me brother John
I'll just wait and see brother JohnThe things that hurt just won't go away
But neither will we

'Cause it really doesn't matter either way
'Cause you're all you need to set yourself free
It may sound hard but it's just a start
To ride that wind
And you ain't Peter Pan you're just a man
You'll get there againAre you sleeping brother John
(Are you sleeping brother John, yeah)
If you feel like weeping brother John
(Kind of weeping brother John)
Please won't you hear me brother John
(Won't you hear me brother John, yeah)
Just wait and see brother John
(Wait and see, yeah)I said, "Are you sleeping brother John
If you feel like weeping brother John
Please won't you hear me brother John
Just wait and see brother John"Just wait and see
(Wait and see)
Just wait and see
(Wait and see)
Just wait and see
(I said, "Wait and see")
Just wait and see
(Wait and see)Won't you rise and shine
Won't you rise and shine
Won't you rise and shine
Won't you rise and shine
Won't you rise and shine
Won't you rise and shine
Won't you rise and shine
Won't you wait and see

It's not every band that’s still staking out new musical territory and embracing fresh challenges more than 22 years into their career, but that’s the case with Blues Traveler. Having long ago graduated from the jam-band underground to mainstream stardom, the iconoclastic combo has consistently stuck to its guns and played by its own rules. For their new release (and Verve Forecast debut) North Hollywood Shootout, the quintet ventured out of their creative comfort zone to explore some adventurous new horizons.
