Brown Girl In the Ring Lyrics

There's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la
There's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la la
There's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la
And she looks like a sugar in a plum plum plumAll had water run dry
I got nowhere to wash my clothes
All had water run dry
I got nowhere to wash my clothesDeng-a-deng o suki
Deng-a-dengI remember one Saturday night
We had fried fish and Johnny-cake
I remember one Saturday night
We had fried fish and Johnny-cake
Deng-a-deng o suki
Deng-a-dengThere's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la
There's a brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la la
There's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la
And she looks like a sugar in a plum plum plumThere's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la
There's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la la
There's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la
And she looks like a sugar in a plum plum plum
All had water run dry
I got nowhere to wash my clothes
All had water run dry
I got nowhere to wash my clothesDeng-a-deng o suki
Deng-a-dengI remember one Saturday night
We had fried fish and Johnny-cake
I remember one Saturday night
We had fried fish and Johnny-cakeDeng-a-deng o suki
Deng-a-dengThere's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la
There's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la la
There's a brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la
And she looks like a sugar in a plum plum plum

Taj Mahal (born Henry Saint Clair Fredericks in New York City on May 17, 1942) is an American Grammy Award-winning blues musician who incorporates elements of world music into his music. A self-taught singer-songwriter and film composer who plays the guitar, banjo and harmonica (among many other instruments), Mahal has done much to reshape the definition and scope of blues music over the course of his 50 year career by fusing it with non-traditional forms, including sounds from the Caribbean, Africa and the South Pacific.
