Buffalo Gal Lyrics

Buffalo, buffalo, buffaloBuffalo gal
You've had your fun
Your button's undone
And the time's right for slaughter
Buffalo gal
You're thirsty and there's no more water
Like the lamb on the altarAnd it's sad to see you lookin' down and feelin' blue
Try your best to get on up and see it through
In a while you might smile and see the sun
The day has begunAnd buffalo gal
They're closin' down the old dance hall
Hmm, buffalo gal
What we gonna do now?Buffalo gal
Due to these circumstances
There's no more dances
Buffalo gal
All your chances of further romances
Will have to be nil

'til I can get it sungIs a shame, your only claim to fame is Jessie James
You know his middle name that's very strange
Stranger, you knew a friend called the friendly ranger
Oh, you shared the dangerAnd buffalo gal
They're closin' down the old dance hall
Hmm, buffalo gal
What we gonna do now?Buffalo, buffalo, buffaloBuffalo gal
You gotta try a big step
You've gotta big jump ahead
Buffalo gal
The show left town
Spreading sunshine all aroundAnd it's bad to see ya, ooh, lookin' blue
Dry your eyes and I'll apologies for all the lies
Try a smile and in a while, just in a while
You'll be smilin' throughOoh, buffalo gal
They're closin' down the old dance hall
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)
And buffalo gal
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)
Oh, you look so good somehow
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)
Oh buffalo gal
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)
Oh, that's such a pretty dress
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)Buffalo gal
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)
The show left town
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)
Buffalo gal
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)
Take a picture
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)
Of buffalo gal
(Buffalo, buffalo, buffalo)

Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band who formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969. The band were led throughout their recording career by bassist, songwriter and singer Phil Lynott, and are best known for their songs Whiskey in the Jar, Jailbreak and The Boys Are Back in Town, all major international hits still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations. After Lynott died, various incarnations of the band have emerged over the years culminating in a more stable line-up based around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes. Sykes left the band in June 2009.
