Burn The Bandwagon Lyrics

Now stop the goddamn press
And hold the fucking phone.
Why cause the word is out
And you're gonna want to know.
It's getting hard to hear.
If it's become an act.
Is what you're playing music?
Or are you writing ads?
Just pull the goddamn plug
And kill that burnt out song.
Why? Cause it's hardly an art.
And i won't sing along.
You play it but it still sounds the same.
Turn it off, turn it off
You live it but it's only an act.
Turn it off, turn it off
Now... turn it off!
Now... turn it off!

I can't wait for the day to come
When we turn it off cause it's played too long.
I can't wait for your song to end
It's been on all day and
It's gonna play again.
You sing it like you're selling me something
Turn it off, turn it off
You wrote it but you know it's a lie
Turn it off, turn it off
Now... turn it off!!
Now... turn it off!!
I can't wait for the day to come
When we turn it off cause it's played too long.
I can't wait for your song to end
It's been on all day and
It's gonna play again. [x2]
It's getting hard to hear.
If it's become an act.
Is what you're playing music?
Or are you writing ads? [x2]

Vaux was formed in 1997 in Denver, Colorado, under the original name Eiffel. The band was comprised of Quentin Smith, Chris Sorensen, Ryder Robison, Adam Tymn, Joe McChan, and Greg Daniels. They released a 7" single themselves, To Write A Symphony, in 1998. Indie label Undecided Records signed the band after they had toured the East Coast extensively for two years, and the band's debut album Audiblenarcotic was released in 2000.
