Burnin' Sky Lyrics

The sky is burnin', I believe my soul's on fire
You are, I'm learnin' the key to my desireWaiting for the van to arrive
The prisoners were lined up outside
Jumped a wall, hitched a ride
And now I'm here to say
I love you, baby, anyway, oh yeah, yeahThe sky is burnin', I believe my soul's on fire
You are, I'm learnin' the key to my desireRan across the country fields in all terrain
They had guns and dogs and everything
I swam a river tryin' to lose my trail
But they caught me, under the bridge, oh yeah, yeahThe sky is burnin', I believe my soul's on fire
You are, I'm learnin' the key to my desire, yeahOh yeah, oh yeah, yeah
Now the sky is burnin', I believe my soul's on fire
You are, I'm learnin' the key to my desireThe judge said, "This man's a danger to humanity
We're gonna lock him up and throw away the key"
Now, baby, your love has sent me to jail
But I'd rather die than see you with another man
See you with another man baby, oh yeahSay it's burnin', burnin', burnin', burnin', burnin', burnin'
I'm workin' on the railroad yeah, every day yeah

But they can't keep me here
And I'm not gonna stay
I got to get outta this place
Oh I'll see my, babySay, it's burnin', oh yeah
Say it's burnin', burnin', burnin', burnin'
Say, it's burnin', yeah
Our souls on fire
My soul's on fire

(Not to be confused with Bad Company UK, the 1990s/2000s drum-and-bass DJ team. If you are here because of them, please fix your artist tags.)

Bad Company was a 1970s British blues-rock group fronted by Paul "The Voice" Rodgers. Their name came from a ‘70s Western movie and they were formed by former members of Mott the Hoople, Free, and King Crimson. Members were Paul Rodgers (singer/pianist), Mick Ralphs (guitarist), Boz Burrell (bassist), and Simon Kirke (drummer).

Their hits include “Shooting Star,” “Bad Company,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy,” "Ready for Love," and “Can’t Get Enough,” most of which are off of the albums Straight Shooter and Bad Company.

In the mid 80`s Rodgers & Burrell left the band. New singer Brian Howe, who had worked with Ted Nugent earlier, made 4 albums with the band. Year 1990`s LP Holy water contained big hit "If you needed somebody". Their style was then more like melodic rock.

In mid 1990`s Howe left the band and solo artist Robert Hart replaced him. Also other guitarist Dave Colwell & basist Rick Wills joined to group. In 2000`s Paul Rodgers came back to make the new album with old band members Kirke, Ralphs & other guys. They got a hit with the song "Joe Fabulous" what was number 1 on Classic Rock Radio. After that recording all original members left the band and new line-up members came to band. Robert Hart became again the band´s singer.
