Burning Up Lyrics

Ooh yeahOoh Im burnin up, Im burnin up
Im burnin up for your love
Im burnin up, Im burnin up
Im burnin up for your loveYou let me down, turned me round
You messed around with my heart
What kind of woman with a smile on her face
Can tear your whole world apart, heyIm on fire, I feel it burnin up
Im on fireOoh Im burnin up, burnin up
Im burnin up every night
Im burnin up, burnin up
And burnin up can feel so rightI see the smoke, I feel the heat
My life is going up in flames
How could you be so indiscreet
And still be so unashamed, heyIm on fire, I feel it burnin up
Im on fireHey you said youd never leave me
You said wed never be apart
You turned out to be a liar
And left me with a broken heart

Why did you do it babe? YeahIm on fire, ooh burnin inside, Im on fire
Why did you do it baby?Ooh Im burnin up, Im burnin up, Im burnin up for your love
Ooh Im burnin up, see Im burnin up, Im burnin up for your love
Watch me burn, see me burnin, cause my hearts on fire
Watch me burn, see me burnin up for your love
Watch me burn, see me burnin up for your love
Watch me burn

(Not to be confused with Bad Company UK, the 1990s/2000s drum-and-bass DJ team. If you are here because of them, please fix your artist tags.)

Bad Company was a 1970s British blues-rock group fronted by Paul "The Voice" Rodgers. Their name came from a ‘70s Western movie and they were formed by former members of Mott the Hoople, Free, and King Crimson. Members were Paul Rodgers (singer/pianist), Mick Ralphs (guitarist), Boz Burrell (bassist), and Simon Kirke (drummer).

Their hits include “Shooting Star,” “Bad Company,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy,” "Ready for Love," and “Can’t Get Enough,” most of which are off of the albums Straight Shooter and Bad Company.

In the mid 80`s Rodgers & Burrell left the band. New singer Brian Howe, who had worked with Ted Nugent earlier, made 4 albums with the band. Year 1990`s LP Holy water contained big hit "If you needed somebody". Their style was then more like melodic rock.

In mid 1990`s Howe left the band and solo artist Robert Hart replaced him. Also other guitarist Dave Colwell & basist Rick Wills joined to group. In 2000`s Paul Rodgers came back to make the new album with old band members Kirke, Ralphs & other guys. They got a hit with the song "Joe Fabulous" what was number 1 on Classic Rock Radio. After that recording all original members left the band and new line-up members came to band. Robert Hart became again the band´s singer.
