Butterflies Lyrics

Girl it's killing me to know
(Baby) I'll never be with ya (with ya)
I'll never be with ya (ooh hoo ooh hoo)
Never gonna be the one (baby)
I'll never be with ya (with ya) 2x
I'll never be the one for youI see the way thatchu look at him,
Girl I wish you looked at me that way
I see the way thatcha holdin' him (holdin' him)
And it's way more than my heart can taake~ (baby)And girl I think that it's 'bout time that I should let you know
That I'm leaving you alone and I'm finally movin' on
And it's the hardest thing to step aside and letchu goBut I realise
I'll never be the one you think of every night
I'll never be the one to give you butterflies
It's killing me to know we can never be more than friends,
And it's where the story ends
I'll never be the one for youI'll never be the one to make you fall in love
However hard I try, it just won't be enough
Can someone tell me how am I supposed to carry on

When I know I'll never be the oneAnd I know I've only got myself to blame (cuz girl I really thought)
That eventually one day you'd feel the same
But I see the way he makes your heart skip a beat,
I really wish that, that could be me
But it just wasn't meant to be
I'll never be the man thatcha need (baby)And for so long girl it's been you that I've been living for
And now that dream is gone,
How do I carry on?
Cuz it's so hard to accept he's the one you really wantAnd I realise
I'll never be the one you think of every night
I'll never be the one to give you butterflies
It's killing me to know we can never be more than friends,
And it's where the story ends
I'll never be the one for youI'll never be the one to make you fall in love
(In love) However hard I try, it just won't be enough (enough)
Can someone tell me how am I supposed to carry on
When I know that I'll never be the oneWhat do I do when the one I love, is loving someone else and she just don't feel the way I feel about her?
Someone tell me where do I go?
When the one I need is needin' someone else, and she just don't want me like the way I want her
I guess this is the price I'm gonna have to pay (ooh ooh)
For dreamin' my life away (ooh ooh)I spent all my life, all my time, it's killing me now I gotta say goodbye, can someone tell me whyy~?I'll never be the one you think of every night
I'll never be the one to give you butterflies (girl it's really killing me)
It's killing me to know we can never be more than friends,
That's where the story ends
(Girl) I'll never be the one for you(Ooh yeah~)
I'll never be the one to make you fall in love
(Noo hoh~) However hard I try, it just won't be enough
Can someone tell me how am I supposed to carry on (to carry on~)
When I know that I'll never be the oneI'll never be the one you think of every night
I'll never be the one to give you butterflies
It's killing me to know we can never be more than friends,
And there's where the story ends
I'll never be the one for you

Born in Birmingham UK, Stevie Hoang moved to London at the age of 1. During his childhood he enjoyed casually playing the keyboard. Then at the age of 11 Stevie’s parents saw a glimpse of the musical talent within him and persuaded him to take piano lessons. His musical skills began to develop further and at school he acquired the nickname “The Jukebox” due to his talent in playing numerous songs. After 5 years of piano lessons, Stevie’s interest in classical music began to diminish and he started to listen to RnB and Rap music; his favourites being Will Smith, Boyz 2 Men, Dru Hill and Joe. After obtaining an A* in GCSE music, Stevie decided to take an A level in Music Technology at a collage in East London. After gaining a reputation as a promising young producer Stevie, at the age of 19, was signed to the independent record label Happnin Records. This was the first time he was given the chance to work in a professional studio and use top of the range equipment. Upon leaving the company in 2004 Stevie set up his own studio in his house. It was at this time that he began to make his best music. Gradually Stevie’s vocal techniques, producing and song writing improved significantly that when he recorded his first demo, a cover of Mario’s ‘Let Me Love You’, it received an incredible response from everyone that heard it. This motivated Stevie to start to write and produce his own songs. In late 2006 Stevie joined the social networking site MySpace. Here he gained a huge following for his music and after the encouragement from his fans Stevie officially began to record his first album in April 2007. While recording his album Stevie took influences from his Chinese ancestry to create a successful blend with modern RnB. It has always been Stevie’s ambition to become the first Oriental RnB artist in the UK. During this period his MySpace page was going from strength to strength and he was averaging over 5000 plays and 3000 new hits a day which propelled him to the top of the MySpace artist charts in both the UK and USA. He also began to appear on a number of other websites such as YouTube, where his fans would post their home made videos of his songs. Over time Stevie was attracting new fans of all races and ages. Stevie has been incredibly overwhelmed and shocked by the response to his music. On December 11th 2007, Stevie Hoang’s eagerly anticipated debut album ‘This Is Me’ was released on his own label, Stevie Hoang Productions. In the begining no one would take me seriously because of where I was from but it just made me more determined to succeed.
