Byrds of Prey (DC Breaks Remix) Lyrics

Theres a drama in the street
That youre dragged into
Bad company and you go
But you dont want to
The bats are coming
As you close your eyes
And then youre
In a strange bedroom
Lying on the floor
I know youd like to captivate
But youll have to try
Harder then your other friends
Who just happened to die
You picked the wrong girl off the streets
And my nails are sharp
Slicing through your banded knee
And your wanton heartAnd oh you know theres something
That I can never say

I live in my own darkness
With giant birds of prey
And oh you know from up here
We watch and burn and reign
Well swoop down on your faces
And satiateTheyre no protection no relief
From all the silence of your screams
And your sweaty sheets
Stuck in doors, you only cry
Only cry for more
Hot out of sadness, out of fright
Breaking down the door
But I could only guess that you would think the worst of me
But Im of another world where day is night
And all the heat is dripping from my skin
Dripping from my soul
And I am hollow in this space
Like a black holeAnd oh you know theres something
That I can never say
I live in my own darkness
With giant birds of prey
And oh you know from up here
We watch and burn and reign
Well swoop down on your faces
And satiate
