Cacophony Lyrics

Oh come on please, split from the sky
Oh, this river has grown so wide
We need some change, some kind of sign
Oh yeah, the human heart's so cold and blindThese modern times, they're just not right
I said let's go, I set this up
All on our knees, I beg and pleas
We got sweat dripping down over our brows
Got sweat dripping down over all the clocks throughout townCacophony, how long will it be?
Oh, I can see the singer rising from the floor, he won't leave
It's all becoming, it's all beginning
A two stiff fingers for left right blessing
It keeps it running, it keeps its message
Keeps the rhythm of confessingOh, lost in town, I feel your sound
I hear your plea, your banged drum
I see the tear roll down your cheek
You're so beautiful ingrained out loudInto the dirt, the muddy curve
We hear the man, its covering
We feel the sweat, see the tail

Collecting underneath our fingernails
Laying underneath our sheets and covering our mouthsCacophony, how long will it be?
Oh, I can smell the smoke from the burning buildings
It's all becoming, it's all beginning
A two stiff fingers for left right blessing
It keeps it running, keeps its message
Keep on confessing, lie aloud lessonIt's all becoming, it's all beginning
A two stiff fingers for left right blessing
It keeps it running, keeps its message
Keep on confessing, lie aloud lesson

Tilly and the Wall are an indie rock group which formed in Omaha, Nebraska, United States in 2001. The band consits of Derek Pressnall (vocals, guitar), his wife Jamie Pressnall (tap dancer), Neely Jenkins (vocals, bass), Kianna Alarid (vocals, recorder, bass) and Nick White (keyboards). The band has gained notoriety for having a tap dancer provide percussion instead of a drummer (although drums and drum machines are occasionally used on some of their recordings, and Pressnall is usually complemented by Alarid and Jenkins stomping on the floor).
