Calculating Bimbo Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
A lack of understanding
You took for being lazy
I was just being lazy
I'm even doing it nowI know that you have saved me
I love that you have saved meSave your pennies careful
Let both blue eyes be watchful
It's best to forget freedom
It's best to be enslavedIt's better still to love first
It's harder still to love firstYou're my winter queen that disappeared
Your hands grew cold

You ran a mile from my wings
I still heard you had a full flown viewWith lots of time
And notebook full of the finest, creamy, rich girl parchment pages
Slowly filled with all your passing days
Every sacred word paints a pictureBigger were his muscles
Send farther go his dollars
But when you are in trouble
And when you are uptightI get the midnight phone call
I'm your captain for the long haulIf someone else is near me
You scuttle up the pavement
It's no one that I care for
I pause for an effectYou calculating bimbo
I wish you'd let the past go

Belle and Sebastian is a band from Glasgow. Led by guitarist/vocalist Stuart Murdoch, the seven-piece band has an intimate, majestic sound that is equal parts folk-rock and '60s pop. Murdoch has a gift not only for whimsy and surrealism, but also for odd, unsettling lyrical detail which keeps the songs grounded in a tangible reality. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Belle and Sebastian released their first two albums in 1996: Tigermilk, recorded over three days, and If You're Feeling Sinister, recorded in a week, at the peak of the chamber pop movement.
