Caledonia Lyrics

I don't know if you can see
The changes that have come over me
In these last few days I've been afraid
That I might drift away
So I've been telling old stories singing songs
That make me think about where I came from
And that's the reason why I seem so far away today
So let me tell you that I love you
That I think about you all the time
Caledonia you're calling me
And now I'm going home
And if I should become a stranger
You know that it would make me more than sad
Caledonia's been everything I've ever had
Now I have moved and I kept on moving
Proved the points that I needed proving
Lost the friends that I needed losing
And found others on the way

And I've kissed the ladies and left them crying
Stolen dreams oh there's no denying
And I have travelled hard with my coat tails flying
Somewhere in the wind
So let me tell you that I love you
That I think about you all the time
Caledonia you're calling me
And now I'm going home
And if I should become a stranger
You know that it would make me more than sad
Caledonia your the best friend I've ever had
[instrumental]So let me tell you that I love you
That I think about you all the time
Caledonia you're calling me
And now I'm going home
And if I should become a stranger
You know that it would make me more than sad
Caledonia's been everything I've ever had
Caledonia's been everything I've ever had
Caledonia's been everything I've ever had

Ken Theriot is a singer and songwriter, primarily performing and recording acoustic folk (some say "alternative folk") music. Initially influenced by the likes of America, The Eagles, The Beatles, FireFall, Dan Fogelberg, Pat Benatar, The Cars, and The Who; he eventually came to love the songs of Scottish and Canadian folk musicians such as Stan Rogers, Dougie Maclean, and Archie Fisher, as well as English musicians such as Steeleye Span, Jethro Tull, and Kate Rusby. All of these influences combined to influence the songs of Ken Theriot such that they are acoustic-guitar based songs with catchy melodies and typically lots of vocal harmony.

After becoming part of the Society For Creative Anachronism (SCA: a world-wide medieval re-creation and educational group), Ken's recordings (6 albums) and performances have been primarily for the medieval and renaissance enthusiasts, mainly those in The SCA. His album, "Human History," was proclaimed "the 2nd best SCA music albums" in 2012, with Hector of the Heights claiming the top spot, by Master Liam St. Liam. His songs "Band of Brothers" and "The Feast Song" are also included in a class taught at Pennsic (the SCA's largest annual event) called "30 Essential SCA Songs."

His latest album, entitled "Outlaws and Bystanders," was released in March of 2014. Already popular from that album are the songs, "William Tell," "Robin Hood and the Beggar Knight," "Soldier of God," and "The Ride of El Cid." Read more on Last.fm.
