Call the Dawn Lyrics

Two islands far apart that share a raging sea
Two radios tuned in to different frequenciesThere are chasms too wide to ever be breached
There are many destinations never meant to be reached
There are footsteps in a journey we will never conclude
There are chapters in this book that we will never read throughCH
Dissolve
Fade out
But don't forget, don't succumb to self-doubt
Be strong
Move on
Allow the setting of the sun to call the dawnTwo stars that share the skies in separate galaxies
Two trees that grow apart, but sway in the same breezeThere are chasms too wide to ever be breached
There are many destinations never meant to be reached
There are footsteps in a journey we will never conclude
There are chapters in this book that we will never read through[CH]Two pairs of feet that walk their own distinctive paths
Two shared disasters each with their own aftermathsThere are chasms too wide to ever be breached
There are many destinations never meant to be reached
There are footsteps in a journey we will never conclude

There are chapters in this book that we will never read through[CH]

"Assemblage 23" is a one-man futurepop/ebm project, whose sole member is musician Tom Shear, based in Seattle, Washington, USA. Prior to starting Assemblage 23, Shear experimented with music under the name "Man on a Stage", beginning in the early 1980s. Most of Shear's music at this point was instrumental, as he lacked the confidence to sing; the quality of the music itself was highly questionable by his own admission. Shear eventually began to add vocals to his music; at the same time, Shear was also playing bass in a punk band called the "Advocates".
