Calling All Angels Lyrics

Calling, calling all angels, oh I'm calling, calling all angelsThe night was still, the moon was bright when he saw a distant light
So he started walkin' till he found a church outside of town
And he stumbled in and closed the door, said why I'm here, I'm not sure
It's my baby that I'm lookin' for, can't she see I'm down on my kneesI've been calling, calling all angels, bring my baby back
Oh you must know where she's at, tell me what to do, I know she's one of you
I'm down on my knees, tell her please, that I love her soTell me preacher, man to man, will you do all that you can
I've done wrong, this I know, and I really hurt her so
It's a lonely world I'm livin' in, an ocean of tears I been cryin'
In this greatest hour of need, what can be done for a fool like meOh, I'm calling, calling all angels, bring my baby back
Oh you must know where she's at, yes I've been a fool
And I know that she's one of you, now do this for me, tell her pleaseAnd if she's lonely I'll make her understand
That these arms can carry both of us back to heaven againYes I've been a fool and I know that she's one of you
Do this for me, tell her pleaseCalling, calling all angels
Hear me calling, calling all angels
Oh I'm calling, calling all angels
Hear me calling, calling all angels
Oh I'm calling, calling all angels
Hear me calling, calling all angels

Oh I'm calling, calling all angels

Alabama is a country music band from Fort Payne, Alabama that was started in 1969 but did not get a recording contract until 1977. Alabama began by singing for tips around Myrtle Beach before going on to sell millions of records. They were among the first successful country groups since the mid-1970s, thanks to their blend of contemporary and traditional country and southern rock. On July 4-93 they opened a $7-million, 2,200-seat theater, located in Barefoot Landing-Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

The members of Alabama are:

- Randy Owen (vocals and rhythm guitar)
- Teddy Gentry, (vocals and bass guitar)
- Jeff Cook (lead guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin)
- Mark Herndon (drums and percussion)

Along with the Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers, Alabama is recognized as having paved the way for today's top country groups, including Diamond Rio, Lonestar and Rascal Flatts.
