Can It Be Lyrics

Excuse me girl
(Oh yeah boy)
But I don't mean to front you for words
But your big brown eyes and those pretty round thighs
Has gotten me wanting you, oh girlNow I know this is our first time meeting
(Do you want me?)
Wanna know, oh girl
But I've been thinking for a while 'cause I love your pretty smile
That it could be all about usCan it be, can it be, can it be
All about me and you
Can it be, can it be, can it be
All about me and youNow I know that it hasn't been long, oh baby girl
See I can see in your eyes, oh yes I can
And I don't care about your past girl I just wanna make it last
I'm kinda feelin' girl your styleOh girl, 'cause I love your pretty lips
Love your sexy hips
Love the way you look
Girl you got me shookLove the way you smile

Girl you drive me wild
Love the way you walk
Love the way you talkI've been thinking
It could be me and you, you and me
We will be forever
Oh yeah
Oh yeah babyCan it be, can it be, can it be
All about me and you
Can it be, can it be, can it be
All about me and youI'm not talking 'bout
Just one night of love
What I'm talking 'bout?
Someone who'll be there
Just for you, baby
(Will you be?)
Can it be, oh babyListen girl
(Tell me boy)
See we were at the club, you were at the bar
I hit on you, you jump into my carCome to my crib, turned down the lights
Oh your body, body, body so good tight
Take out your [Incomprehensible] girl that's my thing
Was I sure that night we began to do our thingWe began to do our thing
We began to do our thing
We began to do our thing
We began to do our thingOh baby whether you was the type boy
I met you at the club tonight boy
We jump into your Benz, oh yeah
You took me to your crib boy
And oh, you did your thing boy
You really did your thing boyNow it's me and you boy
Now it's you and me boy
Now it's all about me and youWe began to do our thing
We began to do our thing
We began to do our thing
We began to do our thingI'm glad I met cha at the club tonight

Keith Sweat (born Keith Crier on July 22, 1961 in Harlem, New York), is a popular R&B/soul singer, songwriter, record producer and a major contributor to the New jack swing era. Before becoming a recording artist, Sweat worked for the commodities market in the New York Mercantile Exchange. He sang at nightclubs throughout New York City until he was discovered and offered a recording contract with Elektra Records in 1987.

Make It Last Forever era: 1985-1993

Sweat started his musical career as a member of a well known Harlem band called "Jamilah" in 1975. With the help of Jamilah, Sweat was able to hone his craft as a lead singer by performing regionally throughout the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The group was started by Larry Peebles, a talented bass player from 116th Street and Lenox Avenue, and included several members who came in and out of the group; among those included was Gregory Ross, a well known Harlem keyboard player who currently lives and works in the Los Angeles area.

On November 25, 1987, Sweat released his debut album Make It Last Forever, which sold three million copies. The biggest hit from this album was "I Want Her" (#1 R&B/#5 Pop), and the title track from the album was hit #2 on the R&B charts.

Sweat continued to chart fairly well with his sophomore album I'll Give All My Love To You, which hit #6 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Keep It Comin debuted in the Top 20 of the album chart.
