Quis Starz was born October 15th, 1985 in Delaware, Ohio. Marquis spent most of his life in Lima, Ohio. He was the oldest of 3 boys in his family. He was raised mainly by his mother Kimberly Collins. Marquis was always a little bit different from that of his brothers. He would always seek to push the envelope a bit, whether it was through how he dressed, or how he behaved. For the most part he was always a good kid but, he would tend to get mixed in with the wrong crowds from time to time.
Marquis first began to discover his talents in rapping after he joined the United States Marine Corps. Marquis was on a deployment to Iraq and one night while of a guard shift with a close friend, and fellow Marine named Travellis Harrison, he discovered his talent. Travellis and Marquis began freestyling as a way to kill time and it was a wrap from there. Marquis would receive numerous compliments on how great his freestyles were. Soon Marquis and his friend had decided to form a group known as the Murda Mobb. Quis Starz then went by the name Quis the Threat. They started off just freestyling and recording freestyle sessions.
Later on the marines began to go their separate ways due to duty assignment and it began to seem as if the Murda Mobb was no more. That is when Marquis decided to bring on board another marine friend Anthony Nelson. Very soon into the new forming Marquis grew tired of the name Murda Mobb and felt it limited his creativity so he changed his name to Yung Starz. That lasted for about a year before he decided to drop the Yung and then became know as Quis Starz. He coined the name Suxcess for his friend Anthony. They were known as Starz and Suxcess. They had decided to be solo artists who would just do collabs together much like artist such as Lil Wayne, and Drake, or Andre 3000 and Big Boi. Quis Starz now resides in Newport Beach where he is working on putting together his mixtape and debut album.
