Can't Say No (From "Can't Say No" Demo, 1989) Lyrics

You came to stay a long time ago
It was my wild
Your special touch
My mind's been busted up
My feelings like rocks nowhere to run
Been out of touch
Yeah, I can't say no
I can't say no
Yeah, that's the way it goesSpeedin' down your arteries
Freeway to your heart
Runnin' hot
Sworn by conviction
Metal train will go back
Even when there's no tracks
It's you by raw intentionYeah, I can't say no
I can't say no
Yeah, that's the way it goesRed light on my mind
Burnin' through my head

Lookin' all ways
A lot of pretty faces
A few you can trust
Take a chance,
You know you gotta.Yeah, I can't say no
I can't say no
Yeah, that's the way it goesThat's the way it goes, yeah, yeah

The Spin Doctors is a rock group from New York, USA, best known for its 1992 hits, "Two Princes" and "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong", which charted at #7 & #17 on the pop chart, respectively. The album that included those songs, Pocket Full of Kryptonite, sold poorly until MTV and radio began playing the songs. The album eventually went gold, and then received another boost in sales after the band's appearance on Saturday Night Live in October 1992, ultimately selling five million copies in the United States and peaking at #3 on the Billboard top 200 album chart.
