Caravan Lyrics

Night and stars that above shine so bright
The magic of their fading light
That shines upon our caravanSleep upon my shoulder as we creep
Across the sand so I may keep
This mem'ry of our caravanYou are so exciting, you are so inviting
Resting in my arms
As I thrill to the magic charmsOf you beside me here, beneath the blue
My dream of love is coming true
Within our desert caravanNight, night, night, night and stars above that shine so bright
The mystery of their fading light
That shines upon our caravanSleep upon my shoulders as we creep
Across the sand so I may keep
This mem'ry of our caravanThis is so exciting, you are so inviting
Resting in my arms
As I thrill to the magic charmsOf you beside me here, beneath the blue
My dream of love is coming true
Within our desert caravanYou beside me here, beneath the blue
My dream of love is coming true

Within our desert caravan

Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 in Newport News, VA – June 15, 1996), also known as Lady Ella (the First Lady of Song), was one of the most influential jazz singers of the 20th Century, the winner of thirteen Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Art presented by President Ronald Reagan and the Presidential Medal of Freedom presented by President George H. W. Bush. Gifted with a three-octave vocal range, she was noted for her purity of tone, near faultless phrasing and intonation, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing.
