Carnal Ways To Recreate the Heart Lyrics

I am the one, the fallen bastard son
I'll step inside you, I feel your lips
And seize your flesh
To penetrate the woundAnd your screams shall be dreams
Of the graceless one's rebirth
Forever I have lost the way
To the flesh that was mine todayI left my trace, I left my mark
Carnal ways to recreate the heart
Feel the pain and we know
And the pain we are cursed with childTo be with me, is to be left
I step away now, I'll leave your lips
And withered flesh
No more inside the woundA badge of lust and wrong decisions
The cold hands of a cursed religion
A false idol to praise and worship
And coax these hellish timesTo cut and paint my sins
A shade of purest white
To play the role of God

And recreate a lifeI am the one, the fallen bastard son
I'll step inside you, I fell your lips
And seize your flesh tonightA false idol to worship
And coax these hellish times
To play the role of God
And recreate a lifeA badge of lust and wrong decisions
The cold hands of a cursed religion
To cut and paint my sins
A shade of purest white, I paint my sins in whiteForever I have lost the way
To the flesh that was mine todayI left my trace, I left my mark
Carnal ways to recreate the heart
Feel the pain and we know
And with the pain we are cursed with child

Arsis is an American death metal band from Yorktown, Virginia, formed in 2000. Although remaining as heavy as traditional death metal bands, they also possess complex riffs and solos that are similar to those found in both melodic and technical death metal. The band is currently signed to Nuclear Blast. Arsis was started by James Malone and Mike Van Dyne in 2000, who met while attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. They recorded two demos independently in 2001 and 2002, signed to Willowtip Records in 2003, and released two full-length albums and an EP from 2004 to 2006.
