Carolina I Hear You Calling Lyrics

One of the memories that stays on my mind
About an old southern lady that I left behind
Is a ramshackle bridge where the deep river winds
And an old two-lane blacktop through the tall long-leaf pinesCarolina, Carolina
You're hard, but you're hard to forgetI still remember the magnolia nights
And goose feather snow in the gray morning light
Sand spurs and puppies and red autumn leaves
And warm lights in the clear night on a cold Christmas EveCarolina, Carolina
You're hard, but you're hard to forgetCarolina, I knew you before the highways got to you
And I loved you as one of your own
And I still doCarolina, Carolina
You're hard, but you're hard to forget
You're hard to forget

The Charlie Daniels Band is an American country and southern rock band led by Charlie Daniels. The Charlie Daniels Band was formed in 1970, with Charlie Daniels joined by Barry Barnes (guitar), Mark Fitzgerald (bass), Fred Edwards and Gary Allen (drums), and Taz DiGregorio (keyboards). They started recording southern rock-styled albums for Kama Sutra. Although a multi-instrumentalist, Daniels was a limited vocalist, but his voice was well suited to the talking-style "Uneasy Rider", which reached the US Top 10 in 1973.
