Cartrouble Lyrics

Have you ever had a ride in a light blue car?
Have you ever stopped to think
Who's the slave and who's the master?
Have you ever had trouble with your automobile?
Have you ever had to push, push, push, push?Car trouble, oh yeahYou might have seen them very busy at the weekends
Licking and polishing the beep, beeps into shape
And then it's proudly up the M.1. M.2. M.3
And keep your feet off the upholstery, RonnieCar trouble, oh yeah
Car, car, car trouble
Car, car, car trouble
Car, car, car trouble
Car, car, car troubleYou don't need anything after an ice creamI used to sit at home silently and wonder
Why all the preference is polishing the chrome
While all the mothers and the sisters and the babies
Sit and rot at homeCar trouble, oh yeahAnd remember this
You don't need anything after an ice creamCar, car, car trouble
Car, car, car trouble
Car, car, car trouble

Adam and the Ants were a new wave band during the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was one of the bands at the time that marked the transition from the '70s punk rock era to the new-wave post punk-music era. Although the band started off with a punk-influenced sound, it soon moved on to New Wave motivated by new sources such as the drum-heavy "Burundi Beat" heard on "Dog Eat Dog". Led by Adam Ant (real name Stuart Goddard), the band formed in 1977 in London, England, consisting of Lester Square (guitar), Andy Warren (bass guitar) and Paul Flanagan (drums).
