Case Is Closed Lyrics

Okay baby come here
Look, this what we gon' do
We gon' play this cops and robbers thing
But you got to keep it to yourself
I mean, ya killin' me, aight
ListenPut your hands where I can see 'em
License and registration
You're doing 60 in a 35
Do I detect intoxicationOh, get up on this ride
Put your hands behind your back and close your eyes
I'm 'bout to run you downtown
Lock you up and throw away the key
Tonight I'm gon' be yo police(You got the right)
To remain silent
(You got the right)
To keep this on the low
Anything you say or do
Can be used against you

But as far as I'm concerned
Case is closedIf you wanna testify
They have witness protection
Oh, but that can't save you from this crooked cop
Once I start, I won't stop
You want this strong affectionOh, I, stop running yo mouth, tellin' all yo friends
That you've been locked up
And you wanna be back in
You're blowing my cover, turn your sirens off
You gon' get me fired for messing with the law(You got the right)
To remain silent
(You got the right)
To keep this on the low
Anything you say or do
Can be used against you
But as far as I'm concerned case is closed(You got the right)
To remain silent
(You got the right)
To keep this on the low
Anything you say or do
Can be used against you
But as far as I'm concerned case is closedThis was supposed to be between me and you
Don't want nobody to know, the freaky things we do
Handcuffs, interrogation, body's anticipating
Don't know how long I've been waiting
You're about to drive me crazyYou've just been sent, to community service
Full body search, and I'm 'bout to work
You can call for an extension, and swear not to mention
Put your right hand in the sky
And keep this all between you and I(You got the right)
To remain silent
(You got the right)
To keep this on the low
Anything you say or do
Can be used against you
But as far as I'm concerned
Case is closed(You got the right)
To remain silent
(You got the right)
To keep this on the low
Anything you say or do
Can be used against you
But as far as I'm concerned
Case is closedNow if you keep this to yourself
We can do this anytime you want to, ahite
I aint gon' tell nobody
Far as I'm concerned
Once we do this
Case is closed
Ha ha

Dave Hollister, cousin of music act K-Ci and JoJo, started developing fame as a musician in the early 1990s. Some of his biggest early appearances were with 2Pac on tracks like "Brenda's Got A Baby."

His next big move was when he was signed to Teddy Riley's R&B group BLACKstreet in 1994. He worked with the group on their first album and then left the group to pursue his own solo career. He was signed to DreamWorks Records and began working on an album.

In 1999, Hollister released his first albumm, Ghetto Hymns. The album was successful, going gold, and creating one hit single, "My Favorite Girl." "My Favorite Girl" reached #10 on the R&B charts.

Hollister's follow-up album, Chicago '85... The Movie was released in 2000. The album was an autobiographical work and went gold. "One Woman Man" the album's biggest single, reached #8 on the R&B charts.

For his third effort, Hollister moved to Motown Records. He hoped the new label would instill new energy into his music. The album, Things In the Game Done Changed was released in 2002 and faired poorly on the charts and radio.

As a result of the album's shortcomings, Hollister returned to DreamWorks where he released Real Talk in 2003. Following the album's release, Hollister moved to Gospo Centric.

Hollister is reportedly wrapping up his fifth album in the industry, The Book of David: Vol. 1 The Transition. The album will be coming out on September 26, 2006 from Gospo Centric.
