Cast the Stone Lyrics

Feel the joy of autumn breeze
Summer's fallen to its knees
One last glance towards the sun
Hearts beating like a drumAnd distant bell rings out it's sound
As leaves are falling to the ground
I feel our fingers intertwine
To know this love is yours and mineBut soon the winter winds will blow
And soon you thought you had to go
If you'd rather be alone
Be the first to cast the stoneWaves break upon the shore
As winter leaves by every door
The seed lies waiting in the ground
To spread its blossom all aroundI walk alone upon the land
And yearn for tender touch of hand
To feel our fingers letting go
Before the sun could melt the snowWinters freeze and summers burn
Embrace the sun and rain in turn
If you'd rather be alone

Then be the first to cast the stoneIf you'd rather be alone
Be the first to cast the stone

Kieran Goss (born 18 May 1962 in Mayobridge, County Down, Northern Ireland) is considered to be one of Ireland's most romantic singer/songwriters. He recorded his first album, Brand New Star, in 1989. It contained the songs "Brand New Star" and "Just Around The Corner" which came to the attention of Mary Black who recorded both songs. His 1998 album, Worse Than Pride, contained the Irish Top 10 single "Out Of My Head", the second most played song on Irish radio that year.
