Casualties of War Lyrics

There's a journey we all take
Burdened down with small mistakes
And each one takes us to a higher ground
And the time to make a choice
Will take you to the inner voice
You'll go alone and leave behind
Away of life, another timeAnd oh i hear a heart cry out for me
And i can't be like before
To know they needed to be set free
But they were made to be like casualties of war
Like times beforeThe time was long ago
In a land that so few know
And fewer still could comprehend the ways
To tear their hearts from home
And a way of life that they had known
Didn't mean that they would understand
The reasons why they left their landAnd oh i hear a heart cry out for me
And i can't be like before

To know they needed to be set free
But they were made to be like casualties of war
Like times beforeKaajusivut, kaajusivut, kaajusivutAnd thought i hear their cries
My heart still sees the other side
Their spirits soared and they survived
They're still alive, we're still aliveAnd oh i hear a heart cry out for me
And i can't be like before
To know they needed to be set free
But they were made to be like casualties of war
Like times beforeAnd oh i hear a heart cry out for me
And i can't be like before
To know they needed to be set free
But they were made to be like casualties of war
Like times before
