Catfish Lyrics

Hey, hey, yeah, hey, yeah, heyShe was a disco queen
She came from New Orleans
Catfish was her name
Dancin' was her claim to fameShe took me to a fish fry
The girl danced all night
Catfish sure was nice
She makes my nature riseOoh, she was amazin'
She kept her guessin'
But Lord, as she danced across the floor
So tantalizin', so satisfyin'
So hypnotizin', so mesmerizin'What a girl she is, I wanna be with her
And dance forevermoreOh, let me tell you about
Catfish makes my nature rise
Catfish makes my nature rise
Get on down, girl
Catfish makes my nature rise
Catfish makes my nature riseBoogie for 'em, Catfish
She makes my nature riseHey, hey, hey, hey Catfish

RiseOoh, she's amazin'
She kept everybody guessin'
You oughta been there
As she moved
And grooved across the floorCatfish was tantalizin'
Appetizin', satisfyin'
Mesmerizin', so hypnotizin'
Yes, she can boogie
I just wanna dance with her forevermoreLet me tell y'all
Catfish makes my nature rise
Catfish makes my nature riseHey, listen, she's from New Orleans
Former beauty queen
Grandma raised her on collard greens
She did, hey, hey
Catfish makes my nature rise
Catfish makes my nature riseShe's got great big boots
And a booty to boot
Boy, that girl can shoot the coop
She can Catfish
Catfish makes my nature rise

The Four Tops are an American Motown musical quartet, whose repertoire has included doo-wop, jazz, soul music, rnb, disco, adult contemporary, showtunes, and even psychedelic rock. Founded in Detroit, Michigan as The Four Aims, lead singer Levi Stubbs and group mates Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and Lawrence Payton remained together for over four decades, finally forced to endure a lineup change when Payton died in 1997. At that time, Theo Peoples was added to the lineup; Peoples later replaced Stubbs, who fell ill from cancer, and Ronnie McNeir assumed Peoples' spot.
