Cats In Heat Lyrics

Pulled from the liquor cabinet
Choose your mood and then start to wreak havoc
With your exaggerated sadness
This is when I start to loseInterrupted by the flickering candles
The darkness that softened the angles
Though I am the reason
I am the reasonThat Im filling in the empty spaces
Where you left your mark
Take two steps back from all of this
Remember what you started with
It was nothing at allBack in Queens, where the stifling heat
Overpowers the air-conditioning
You can keep on crawling away
But youre never gonna escape
No, no, not todayIm filling in the empty spaces
Where you left your mark
Im filling in the empty spaces
Where you left your markIn the soothing peace

Of car alarms and cats in heat
I can hear you breathe
I can hear you breathe
I can hear you breatheBa, ba, da, da, da
Ba, ba, da, da, da
Ba, ba, da, da, da
Ba, ba, da, da, daAlright, alrightKeep on telling me that time is no enemy
A worthless struggle to step back
Keep on telling me that time is no enemy
A worthless struggle to step back and reconceive

(2003-2009) The Honorary Title was a folk-rock band from Brooklyn, New York composed of Jarrod Gorbel, Aaron Kamstra, Jon Wiley, and Adam Boyd. Gorbel has become known for his dark sense of humor, which often works its way into the band's songs. Their first release was a self-titled EP. But they received much attention and did major touring after they released a full length album on Doghouse Records in 2004 entitled Anything Else But the Truth, recorded in Nashville and New York with producer Roger Moutenot who has also worked with Yo La Tengo and Guster.
