Cheap Lyrics

A skirt here is cheaper
Than anywhere on the planet
Cheaper than in Liberia
Where you gotta pay to get the blood out
Cheap
Together in real time
My television and my subconscious mind
This is the third world
Make it cheap and ugly
Make it dirty, make it rust
Then hit 'em when they're ready
Send me spinning into acts
That look like sex
Smell like sex
Feel like sex
More real than sex
More real than love

Its what you say by what you buy into
Its what you say by what you buy into
Its what you say by what you buy into
That obsesses me
That turns me on
That makes me cheap
That fills me up
Cheap
Vibrations in my jaw
The attention span of a pop song
Freak show full of freak show cunning
The worst crimes
Involve love or money
The worst crimes
Involve love or money
Love or money
That's why I'm cheap
Killed in my sleep
Its what you say by what you buy into
Its what you say by what you buy into
Its what you say by what you buy into
That interests me
That turns me on
That makes me cheap
That fills me up
Spectral influence of girls over tides
Its in the way that you use your eyes
Its in the way that your eyes talk to me
Its what you say by what you buy into, baby %0D
Its what you say by what you buy
That obsesses me

The Machines of Loving Grace was an industrial/rock band from Tucson, Arizona. Formed in 1989 as Machines of Loving Grace (named for a Richard Brautigan poem), the original lineup consisted of Scott Benzel (vocals), Stuart Kupers (guitar and bass), and Mike Fisher (keyboards), with Brad Kemp (drums) added shortly thereafter. Mammoth Records released their demo as the band's label debut without any rerecording in 1991. Their self-titled album was followed by two EP singles- "Rite of Shiva" and 1992's "Burn Like Brilliant Trash" which featured Trent Reznor remixes.
