Check It Out Lyrics

Your eyes, Baby
Is what gave it away
You had somethin' on your mind that
You didn't know how to say
But oh-oh, how can I love you
If you keep runnin' away
And I'm doin' everything in my power to make to make you stay
Hey Baby, you keep on runnin' away
Runnin' away, runnin' away and uh Whowwww!
Just checkin' out see what I'm all about
And in your mind, you can have no doubt
You can have no doubt
All ya' gotta do is just check it outHey Baby, you got to get up
If you want to get down
And hey hey Baby
--Wah --
You will find me hangin' around when the sun goes down
But how, can we make love to each other when you're runnin' away

And I'm doin' everything in my power to make to make you stay
Hey Baby, you keep on runnin' away
Runnin' away, runnin' away and uh Whoa!
Just checking out see what I'm all about
And in your mind, you can have no doubt
You can have no doubt
All ya' gotta do is just check it out[SOLO]And Whoa!
Just checking out see what I'm all about
And in your mind, you can have no doubt
You can have no doubt
All ya' gotta do is just check it outYour lies, Baby
Lemme tell you somethin' that's what I was feelin' inside, but
I was tryin' to be a stubborn kind of fellow and I was holdin'uh
I kept a-holdin' back my pride,
But oh oh, how, can I love you if you keep runnin' away
And I'm doin' everything in my power to make to make you stay, hey Baby,
Ya gotta pick it up girl, let it lay, let it lay, now let it lay -- nowwJust checkin' out see what I'm all about
And in your mind, you aint goin' have no doubt, have no doubt
All ya' gotta do is just check it out!

Born in Philadelphia, Costello began playing guitar at age nine, about the time his family moved to Atlanta. He came of age early, appearing regularly in clubs before he could drive, much less gain legal admission, to them. At age 14, his winning performance in the finals of the Memphis Blues Society’s talent competition had career-changing effects. First, it netted him studio time to record his debut album, Call The Cops, a collection of 1940s and 1950s-style Chicago blues.
