Checkin' It Out Lyrics

She turns around to take a look at me,
Guess you could say Im likin' what I see,
And though I know I cant be sure of her,
I'd kinda like to see some more of her.
This is my golden opportunity,
To take a cherry from her apple tree-tree-tree,
Yeah, she's a little on the crazy side,
But -ow! she could have me if she really tried.Well Im in a sweat about it,
I cant forget about it, Wo-oh-oh-oh-oah
Im kinda sad about it,
I cant forget about it.ch- ch- ch- Checkin it out,
Taking my chances,
ch- ch- ch- Checkin it out,
ch- ch- ch- Chasin these answers,
ch- ch- ch- Checkin it out,
Just a-thinkin it over,
cos im just checkin it out whats shakin in my face.I think its time to make a start with her,
Its more the body than the heart of her,

Her reputation is a little raw,
The kind that keeps you comin back for mo-o-ore.Well Im in a sweat about it,
I cant forget about it, Wo-oh-oh-oh-oah
Im kinda sad about it,
I cant forget about it.ch- ch- ch- Checkin it out,
Taking my chances,
ch- ch- ch- Checkin it out,
ch- ch- ch- Chasin these answers,
ch- ch- ch- Checkin it out,
Just a-thinkin it over,
cos im just checkin it out whats shakin in my face.Ow!
Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Alright! alright!ch- ch- ch- Checkin it out,
Taking my chances,
ch- ch- ch- Checkin it out,
ch- ch- ch- Chasin these answers,
ch- ch- ch- Checkin it out,
Just a-thinkin it over, (check check check checkin)
cos im just checkin it out,
Like it was never a doubt,
Cos im just checkin it out,
Whats shakin in my face

Redbone was a Native American rock group that was most active in the 1970s. They reached the Top 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1974 with the song, Come and Get Your Love. Formed in 1968 in Los Angeles, California, by the brothers Patrick Vasquez (bass and vocals) and Lolly Vasquez (guitar and vocals), the name Redbone itself is a joking reference to a Cajun term for a mixed-race person, the band's members being of mixed blood ancestry. The band referenced Cajun and New Orleans culture many times in their lyrics and performing style.
