"Cinematic" and "dark" are the two most common adjectives used to describe John Roome's work as Witchman, Gold Water, part of The Unknown Ghosts, or, more recently, under his own name. Getting started with a couple of dark-ambient 12"s in the mid-'90s, he was soon signed to Rob Deacon's Deviant Records, who released both his album "Explorimenting Beats" and a collection of his earlier vinyl work, "Heavy Traffic".
