Chesapeake Lyrics

CHESAPEAKE JONATHAN EDWARDS
I hear your sweet voice callin’ me
I whisper in the night
Like rippled waves upon a moonlit sea
Awaiting morning light…
The sun reveals my reverie
I see your green eyes shine
But will tomorrow bring your beauty to me
And will you still be mine?
Chesapeake I love you
Chesapeake I need you
Chesapeake I love you
and I don’t want to lose you.
The water calls you closer to me
And every night you came.
We watched the river gently touch the sea

And heard her sing your name.
Chesapeake I love you
Chesapeake I need you
Chesapeake I love you
and I don’t want to lose you.
Green eyes, blue sky,
Soft shoreline.
Woman, river,
Please be mine.
Chesapeake I love you
Chesapeake I need you
Chesapeake I love you
and I don’t want to lose you.
Ooooh, oooh….
Chesapeake I love you
Chesapeake I need you
Chesapeake I love you
and I don’t want to lose you.
I don’t want to lose you.
