Chewing The Stitch Lyrics

Oh my God, I can feel something moving
The air is still growing thick but it's soothing
I've done nothing to merit forgiving
But if the chance should arise and you hear meMake my voice be the proof that they need
And my prayers even for the charge I've seenI've never felt so alive
But when I touch you make a change in
I can't believe I'm alive
Passed your attempts to free the pain inYou ought to know
Shine above
A calloused heart can still be raised so
Sing and believe, let us know
You hold the voice that changes slavesOh the journey of ships are just starting
All the guilt and the shame of the games I played
Depths in my heart start to fadeAnd I will sing for every one of us
Forever drawn to a unchanging love
Feel the sick until you taste the blood
Find so much more when you're giving up
We're giving up

Giving upWe are monsters on our own (we are monsters on our own)
Banded together we'll overcome (banded together we'll overcome)
We are monsters on our own (we are monsters on our own)
Banded together we'll overcome (banded together we'll overcome)Now that I've found youI've never felt so alive
But when I touch you make a change in
I can't believe I'm alive
Passed your attempts to free the pain inYou ought to know
Shine above
A calloused heart can still be raised so
Sing and believe, let us know
You hold the voice that changes slavesDon't expect us to apologize,
Rebel dogs in the spotlight
We want no truce
No truce or compromise

Oh, Sleeper is a metalcore band from Fort Worth, Texas signed to Solid State Records. Oh, Sleeper formed in April of 2006 after former members of short-lived rock band Terminal got together with former Between the Buried and Me guitarist Shane Blay. Eventually they found a vocalist in Micah Kinard and began practicing. As the 4 members began sledging through all the normal problems of a band start-up (no place to practice, no money and different schedules) the biggest obstacle was finding the last and final member.
