Chicago Lyrics

I was dreaming about Chicago
And your face was everywhere
There were no words to sooth me
There was no comfort there
The days were different darling
A different face a different year
And I'd never been so lonely
Bc no one ever comes by here
Tell me more about Chicago
Can you get there in a day?
Hey what's your observation?
Is it beautiful like you say?
Such a simple conversation
But I can't get it off my mind
Tell me about Chicago
Maybe we can leave tonight
Why I'm I still in Texas?
I know I should be gone

My days are dog and they're dragging
My God they take so long
I know I should be somewhere
Far away from where I am
Instead of saddled to this front porch
Just a shadow of a man
Tell me more about Chicago
Can you get there in a day?
Hey what's your observation?
Is it beautiful like you say?
Just a simple conversation
But I can't get it off my mind
Tell me more about Chicago
Maybe we can leave tonight
Tell me more about Chicago
Maybe we can leave tonight
