Chinese Dogs Lyrics

Well, it took you seven years to learn my name
And I know it's all the drugs and booze that I took, lame
Oh, sh-sh-shame
(What a shame)But it took me seven years to forget your name
All the drugs, all the fools and all the
The hanging around, I fell out of the game
What a shameWhat would it take for me to be your man?
What would it take for me to be your man?
What would it take to make you understand?
What would it take to make you understand?Well, all the filthy old Mary's and their Chinese dogs
So, is a no go, oh, if you know what I know, what?
I know what you know, oh dearA million common people want to tear your head off
Just to show your bones to the night
Cause the night is when I'm satisfied
Woah, oh, ohWhat would it take for me to be your man?
What would it take for me to be your man?
What would it take to make you understand?
What would it take to make you understand?

It can't be us ?cause the worlds gone coldAnd if the hat don't fit ya
Yeah? It don't fucking fit yaWhat would it take for me to be your man?
What would it take for me to be your man?
Well, what would it take to make you understand?
What would it take to make you understand?
It can't be us ?cause the worlds gone cold

Dirty Pretty Things were a band fronted by former member of The Libertines Carl Barât. The formation of the band was announced in September 2005, after The Libertines had split up in 2004 due to a falling out between Barât and Peter Doherty. Barât had done some work with Vertigo Records and had previously revealed that his new project was with the label. Didz Hammond announced he was leaving The Cooper Temple Clause to join the band alongside ex-Libertines drummer Gary Powell and guitarist Anthony Rossomando, who had filled in for Doherty following his departure from the Libertines.
