Chinese Rocks (Live at the Speakeasy) Lyrics

Somebody called me on the phone
They said, "Hey, is Dee Dee home?
Do you wanna take a walk? You wanna go cop?
You wanna go get some Chinese Rocks?I'm living on a Chinese Rock
All my best things are in hock
I'm living on a Chinese Rock
Everything is in the pawn shop, it isThe plaster's falling off the wall
My girlfriend's crying in the shower stall
It's hot as a bitch, I shoulda been rich
Now, I'm just digging a Chinese ditchI'm living on a Chinese Rock
All my best things are in hock
I'm living on a Chinese Rock
Everything is in the pawn shop, it isOoh, aah, ooh, aahThe plaster's falling off the wall
My girlfriend's crying in the shower stall
It's hot as a bitch, I shoulda been rich
Now, I'm just digging a Chinese ditchI'm living on a Chinese Rock
I'm living on a Chinese Rock
I'm living on a Chinese RockI'm living on a Chinese Rock

I'm living on a Chinese Rock
I'm living on a Chinese Rock

Johnny Thunders, born John Anthony Genzale, Jr (July 15, 1952 - April 23, 1991), was a rock and roll guitarist and singer, first with the New York Dolls, the proto-punk glam rockers of the early '70s. During the late '70s, he was a familiar figure on the New York punk scene, both with The Heartbreakers and as a solo artist. His screeching, penetrating guitar sound is distinctive and highly influential in punk rock music.
