Church of the Machine Lyrics

Bow down in the platinum maze
Twilight cathedrals spread the system plague
Forging sacred thrones in the void unseen
Merciless judgement in the church of the machineI'm the master, looking down from the edge of space and time
Flesh and steel intertwined
I am the future, sacrifice your soul and succumb to me
Nailed to your faith, you'll believeScream-and no one hears my pleas
Faceless masses falling to their kneesBow down in the platinum maze
Twilight cathedrals spread the system plague
Forging sacred thrones in the void unseen
Merciless judgement in the church of the machinePyramids in the sky, playing out their cosmic games
Rulers of us all, forever cursed we live in pain
Cursed-we live in pain...The creator, 'Neath the darkened sun, my empires rise
Artificially devised
The destroyer, fierce intentions flow from a virtual rage
Forever lost and enslavedTotal mesh of soul and steel
Life-force force under my command
Twisted baptism of fire

Between machine and manScream-and no one hears my pleas
Faceless masses falling to their kneesBow down in the platinum maze
Twilight cathedrals spread the system plague
Forging sacred thrones in the void unseen
Merciless judgement in the church of the machineBow down in the platinum maze
Twilight cathedrals spread the system plague
Forging sacred thrones in the void unseen
Merciless judgement in the church of the machine

There are two bands with this title, a well-known metal band from the East Coast of the US and an obscure (and now defunct) rock band from the Midwestern US. 1. Symphony X is an American progressive/power metal band from New Jersey founded in 1994 by guitarist Michael Romeo. Their 1997 album The Divine Wings Of Tragedy and their 2000 release V: The New Mythology Suite have gained the band considerable attention within the progressive metal community.
