City Life Lyrics

Well, I'm down and I'm out
And I've had it to here with the city life
Gonna grab me a plane
That'll take me back home to my folks
Maybe real soonJust as soon as I get a few dollars
Ahead well, you'll see
Gonna show up in person
Instead of those letters I never write
How does that soundYou tell dad that I got a deal
That's gonna make me a million tomorrow
Can't [unverified] to let it come through
If I just hang around for a little while
Just temporarilyCity life
Oh, city life
Oh, city life
City life, city life

Harry Edward Nilsson III (born June 15, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York - died January 15, 1994), sometimes credited simply as Nilsson, was an American singer-songwriter with a three octave vocal range. He won Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Male Vocal Performance for "Everybody's Talkin'" (1970) and "Without You" (1973), also his two biggest hits. Although both the aforementioned songs were composed by others, he was a talented songwriter in his own right, having written "One", a hit single for Three Dog Night.
