Clearwater Highway Lyrics

Alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alrightYou get my motor running as soon as I get next to you
Got the fuel to fire, you know there's no time to lose
You watch me slip away in the shadows of the night
So many things that I wanna say, now I've gotta go
Gotta hit the road, gonna catch a ride onClear water highway
Through the driving rain
Gonna strike like lightning
Be a while till I'm back again, yeahSeems like you are the last to know, but it ain't that way
Sit back and watch the river flow, 'times it slips away, yeah yeah
Better take just one last loop 'cause I'm on my way
Like the pages of a well-read book that might stop the fate, hold on
Don't let me slip awayOn a clear water highway
Through the driving rain
Gonna strike like lightning
Be a while till I'm back again, yeahOn a clear water highway
Through the driving rain
Gonna strike like lightning
Be a while till I'm back again, yeah

AlrightOn a clear water highway
Through the driving rain
Gonna strike like lightning
Be a while till I'm back again, yeahOn a clear water highway
Through the driving rain
Gonna strike like lightning
Be a while, be a while till I'm back again
Back again
Yeah, I'm going back baby
Clear water highway
Alright, alright, alright.
Alright Clear water, clear water
Im gonna make in Im gonna make

Enjoy the lyrics !!!
(Not to be confused with Bad Company UK, the 1990s/2000s drum-and-bass DJ team. If you are here because of them, please fix your artist tags.)

Bad Company was a 1970s British blues-rock group fronted by Paul "The Voice" Rodgers. Their name came from a ‘70s Western movie and they were formed by former members of Mott the Hoople, Free, and King Crimson. Members were Paul Rodgers (singer/pianist), Mick Ralphs (guitarist), Boz Burrell (bassist), and Simon Kirke (drummer).

Their hits include “Shooting Star,” “Bad Company,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy,” "Ready for Love," and “Can’t Get Enough,” most of which are off of the albums Straight Shooter and Bad Company.

In the mid 80`s Rodgers & Burrell left the band. New singer Brian Howe, who had worked with Ted Nugent earlier, made 4 albums with the band. Year 1990`s LP Holy water contained big hit "If you needed somebody". Their style was then more like melodic rock.

In mid 1990`s Howe left the band and solo artist Robert Hart replaced him. Also other guitarist Dave Colwell & basist Rick Wills joined to group. In 2000`s Paul Rodgers came back to make the new album with old band members Kirke, Ralphs & other guys. They got a hit with the song "Joe Fabulous" what was number 1 on Classic Rock Radio. After that recording all original members left the band and new line-up members came to band. Robert Hart became again the band´s singer.
