Close Enough To Perfect Lyrics

Sometimes her morning coffee’s way too strong
And sometimes what she says, she says all wrong
Right or wrong she’s there beside me like only a friend would be
And that’s close enough to perfect for me
Now she’s been known to wear her pants too tight
And drinking puts her out just like a light
Heaven knows she’s not an angel, but she’d really like to be
And that’s close enough to perfect for me
She kisses me each morning and smiles her sleepy smile
And she don’t have to say it, I can see it in her eyes
Don’t you worry about my woman or what you think she ought to be
She’s close enough to perfect for me
Sometimes she gets down and starts to cry
But then again a lady has a right
She’s everything I've ever wanted, she's all I’ll ever need
She’s close enough to perfect for me
She kisses me each morning and smiles her sleepy smile

She don’t have to say it, I can see it in her eyes
Don’t you worry about my woman or what you think she ought to be
She’s close enough to perfect for me
Woah oh, she’s close enough to perfect for me

Alabama is a country music band from Fort Payne, Alabama that was started in 1969 but did not get a recording contract until 1977. Alabama began by singing for tips around Myrtle Beach before going on to sell millions of records. They were among the first successful country groups since the mid-1970s, thanks to their blend of contemporary and traditional country and southern rock. On July 4-93 they opened a $7-million, 2,200-seat theater, located in Barefoot Landing-Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

The members of Alabama are:

- Randy Owen (vocals and rhythm guitar)
- Teddy Gentry, (vocals and bass guitar)
- Jeff Cook (lead guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin)
- Mark Herndon (drums and percussion)

Along with the Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers, Alabama is recognized as having paved the way for today's top country groups, including Diamond Rio, Lonestar and Rascal Flatts.
