Closer Lyrics

Well I've been thinking about what I said
No baby, no need to talk about it
Well I've been playing it back in my head
No thanks, think I'll get by without itWell I've been thinking about what I said
No baby, no need to talk about it
Well I've been rollin' around in your bed
No thanks, think I'll get by without itYou can't explain why you're feeling alone
Falling asleep to a dial tone
You dream about the trouble you're in
Then you pray that something fitsI wanna say that we're getting closer every day
You know you can't stop when you're racing the clock, c'mon
This heart's a bomb and we're setting it off, alrightThey're handing me the numbers and figures, yeah
Try and calculate the ways I've been jaded
Nothing adds up so I end up frustrated
I'm giving up on love it's so overratedYou hear the knock, will you open the door?
You try and fight, but its hard to ignore
You fall apart; spill your heart on the floor
I think its time that we settled the scoreWell the moment will come when youre all alone

Thats the moment I know when youll say

With a sound that can be compared to The All-American Rejects, Third Eye Blind, and OneRepublic, My Favorite Highway's upbeat and melodically driven pop rock has developed into something that the world of pop music hasn't seen for a while. Two cousins from Fairfax, VA, a suburb of Washington, D.C., Dave and Will Cook, formed the band in January of 2005. Members Bobby, Andrew, and Pat joined the band later on, completing the line-up. (Andrew left and created The Friday Night Boys later)
