Closer to Nowhere Lyrics

We can go somewhere where you gotta get all dressed up
Or throw on some jeans and go somewhere and get messed up
Gotta be something we can get into downtown
Oh one of them nights when the neon lights never go downWe can go someplace where there ain't nobody around us
Take a ride out there where the stars look a little more crowded
Come on now, tell me what you think about yea
We can go anywhere
As long as it's somewhere
A little closer to nowhereWe can park on a hill and roll it on down to the riverside
Sit and watch the moon shine on the water like a streetlight
We can top off the tank and head on down some highway
Or boy we can get just as lost here in this drivewayWe can go someplace where there ain't nobody around us
Take a ride out there where the stars look a little more crowded
Come on now, tell me what you think about yea
We can go anywhere
As long as it's somewhere
A little closer to nowhereNo crowd, no traffic
Where all we're getting is radio static

Anywhere you wanna go
Anywhere, we're here aloneSomeplace where the stars look a little more crowded
Come on now, tell me what you think about yea
We can go anywhere
As long as it's somewhere
A little closer to nowhere
A little closer to nowhere
