Clown In Broad Daylight Lyrics

Standing on the side of the road near the overpass
With a sign around his neck that says
"Car wash, free balloons", he's a clown in broad daylightHe's waving at the people in cars who do a double-take
And goad him on with their horns outside the car wash
Ike a cartoon, he's a clown in broad daylightRaising eyebrows and emotions
He don't phase some people at all
For everyday the circus is open
Everything is alright
It's just a clown in broad daylightEverything is alright
For against the backdrop of ordinary life it's the easy laugh
That gets you through your working day and the hogwash
Sad but true, he's a clown in broad daylight
