Co-Pilot Lyrics

Everybody says that you're no good
I don't pay attention though
It doesn't matter though I know it should
I don't pay attentionSo what's the use when it never ends
And you're singular, it's true
So much for them
Who cares about my friends?Be my co-pilot
Come be in my dream
You looked so beautiful there
Just like a part of you
That makes a part of me seemEverybody tries so hard to bring me down
I don't pay attention though
It doesn't matter
'Cause I can hardly hear a soundAnd I don't pay attention
Because number one, I'm good with you
And the way you look at me
Is number two so what else would I do?Be my co-pilot
Come be in my dream

You looked so beautiful there
Just like a part of you
It makes a part of me seemLike a one way track
I feel like I could float awaySo what's the use when it never ends
And you're singular it's true
So much for them
Who cares about my friendsBe my co-pilot
Come be in my dream
You looked so beautiful there
Just like a part of youBe my co-pilot
Come be in my dream
You looked so beautiful there
Just like a part of youTake a ride co-pilot
Shimmer on in my dream

Letters to Cleo were an alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts (although they originally started out as a ska band). The band was made up of members Michael Eisenstein, Kay Hanley, Stacy Jones, Greg McKenna, Scott Riebling, and Tom Polce. Their name came from the fact that Hanley had a pen pal named Cleo when she was younger, although the letters she wrote would often be returned. Hanley kept them in a box under her bed marked "Letters to Cleo", and happened to stumble across the box as the band was attempting to think of a name for itself.
