Cold Enough to Break Lyrics

It's cold enough to break
Beneath the weight of this mistake
And no one can tell me it's alrightI hope it's not too late
For the man who's less than brave
And no one can tell me but no one can tellDeny the charges, call collect
Fodding over the failed attempt
And I am failing you
There are answers, never tell
Sharing rooms with cancer cells
I am not immuneCall out and come down
I finally recognize
Tired angels barely able
Keep me safe tonightIt's cold enough to break
Beneath the weight of this mistake
And no one can tell me it's alrightI hope it's not too late
For the man who's less than brave
And no one can tell me but no one can tellWe're keeping quiet and we'll decide
What's desperation, sick inside

I am not allowedThere are reasons I will keep
Ever-hopeful fall asleep
I can show you howCall out and come down
I finally recognize
Tired angels barely able
Keep me safe tonightIt's cold enough to break
Beneath the weight of this mistake
And no one can tell me it's alright

Knapsack was an emo/indie rock band that was formed in 1993 by Blair Shehan (vocals/guitar) and Colby Mancasola (drums). Shehan and Mansacola were two high school friends studying at the University of California, Davis. Guitarist Jason Bokros and bassist Rod Meyer completed the lineup. By 1994, the band had recorded a single for independent label Goldenrod Records and signed with Alias Records later that year. Their debut album Silver Sweepstakes was released in 1995. They then toured extensively playing with bands such as Pavement, Rocket from the Crypt, Jawbox and Drive Like Jehu.
