Come Back Baby Lyrics

Oh come back, baby
Oh mama please dont go, yeah
Cause the way I love you
Child you'll never knowOh come back baby, yeah yeah
Let's talk it over one more time
Oh now nowWell I admit, baby
That I was wrong
Don't you know, baby
Child you been gone too longOh come back baby, yeah yeah
Let's talk it over one more time
Oh now nowSay If I could holler
Like a mountain jack
Yeah yeah oh people
I'd call my baby backOh come back baby, Woo yeah
Let's talk it over one more time
Oh now nowNow one of these days, baby
And It won't be long, yeah
you gonna look for me child you know

And Ill be goneSo come back baby, yeah yeah
Let's talk it over one more time
Oh now now

Sam Hopkins was born on March 15, 1912 in Centerville, Texas. In 1920, at the age of eight, Hopkins met and played with the legendary Blind Lemon Jefferson, even becoming Jefferson's guide for a short time. Hopkins' cousin, the great bluesman, Texas Alexander, was another influence. Their musical partnership was broken up by Hopkins' time in Houston's County Prison Farm during the 1930s. When Hopkins made his way to Houston's Third Ward in 1946 he was introduced to Lola Anne Cullum, a talent scout who had pieced together deals with companies such as Aladdin Records out of Los Angeles.
