Come Rest Your Head Lyrics

Trust, I know is not such a dirty word
Trust is something that I have barely heard
Honesty is not so far away
Empty words are all you'll have to sayWe all go on
Just let me go onCome rest your head
Come stay with me a while, yeah, yeah
You'd be better off here
Come stay with me a while, oh yeahTruth, you'll find is the only way to live
Long for when you can learn to forgiveWe all go on
Just let me go onCome rest your head
Come stay with me a while, yeah, yeah
You'd be better off here
Come stay with me a while, oh yeah, yeahTrust, I know is not such a dirty word
Is something that I have barely heard
Honesty is not so far away
Empty words are all you have to sayWe all go on
Just let me go onCome rest your head
Come stay with me a while, yeah, yeah

You'd be better off here
Come stay with me a while
Come stay a whileCome rest your head
(So come rest your head)
Come rest your head
(Trust, I know, trust, I know is not such a dirty word)Come rest your head
(Honesty is not so far away)
Come rest your head
(I know, I know, I know, I know that your trust is not so far away)
Come rest your head

1. Tonic is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1993 that has earned two Grammy nominations to date. Originally founded by Emerson Hart and Jeff Russo, later members have included Dan Lavery, Kevin Shepard, and Dan Rothchild. Signed to a recording contract in 1995, the band released their debut album Lemon Parade in 1996. The single "If You Could Only See" reached #11 on the Billboard Airplay Hot 100, and Lemon Parade itself reached platinum status.

Tonic spent much of the next two years touring, adding to its reputation as a relentlessly gigging band. In addition to extensive touring Tonic produced other work, including songs for feature film soundtracks like Scream 2 and The X-Files. After self-producing their 1999 album Sugar, they earned two Grammy nominations for their 2002 album Head on Straight. The band then went on hiatus beginning in 2004 while its members pursued solo work and other musical endeavors. Tonic became active again in late 2008, embarking on a tour and releasing a greatest hits compilation. These efforts set the stage for their self-titled fourth studio album, which was released in 2010. Tonic continues to actively tour.
