Comfort Lyrics

In a daydream, I once had
You were standing, oh, so sad
But the way you smiled at me
Made me laugh so awkwardlyIf you ever feel uptight
I'll make you wholesome and I'll make you right
And if you ever fall on your knees
Give me comfort in a bottle please
Give me comfort in a bottle pleaseThough I can't recall your name
I remember just the same
And you seem so far away
But I feel you everyday
And if you're ever feeling down
Just look me up and I'll be around
If you ever fall on your knees
Give me comfort in a bottle pleaseGive me comfort in a bottle please
Give me comfort in a bottle please, yeah
Give me comfort in a bottle pleaseFly, fly away so high
That you never come back down

Make it so hard for me
To ever wanna be there when you hit the ground
Fly, fly, you'll never be aroundIn a daydream, I once had
You were standing, oh, so sad
And if you ever feel uptight
I'll make you wholesome and I'll make you right
If you ever fall on your knees
Give me comfort in a bottle pleaseGive me comfort in a bottle please
Give me comfort in a bottle please, yeah
Give me comfort in a bottle please, yeah

After several personnel changes, Kano and Brown recorded an eight song EP in 1995 with bassist Alex McKinney and lead guitarist Grey Brewster. The "Green Album," as it is widely known, sold about 10,000 copies. In 1996 the band was signed by Atlantic Records. They released their major label debut, Radiance, in 1998. The first single, "What I Didn't Know," was a minor hit.
