Common Sense Lyrics

I'm drawing circles in the sand
So I'll know where to land.
'Cause we're falling in a foreign aircraft,
And we can't get out in time.
I'm sorry dear, if only we
Had known the sensitivity.
The case is closed
Before we knew it we were out of time.
I'm reliving the moment when you said you're doing fine.
All the while I'm imagining the best days of my life gone by.
(Ooh, Oooh)
And I'm burning inside. (Burning inside)
I'm pouring out,
You're filling up.
I'm senseless doubt,

You're scared of love.
Just one more dance with you
And I'll watch those minutes fly.
Say you wanted to take it further,
Please say you'll really try.
Love is always a fiery dragon who's turned it's head to take my life.
(Ooh Ooh)
And I'm burning inside (Burning inside)
(Ooh Ooh)
And I'm burning inside (Burning inside)
These roses bleed under my feet,
But you've placed these steps for me.
And our progress halts and fades away for common sense.
Yes it's all for common sense.
Oh it's all for common sense.

Deas Vail is an indie rock band from Russellville, Arkansas formed in 2003. The phrase "Deas Vail" is a combination of Latin and old French which roughly translates to "Humble servant of God."
Deas Vail also happens to be a band with a story to tell, and they're doing it one note at a time. Melodic vocal lines and lullaby guitars; "I'm-telling-you-a-ghost-story" piano parts and syncopated beats. Earnest, searching rock music. Deas Vail is made up of:
Wes Blaylock (Vocals, Keys)
Laura Blaylock (Keys, Synth)
