Concrete Lyrics

Mornings built on bad nights
Those conversations led to vacations I needed
Systematic meltdown
This situation, we need to face it
Melodramatic, or maybe you're manic
I'm sympathetic, accepting you for every flaw
At least I tried to see the world through your eyes
It's like I'm dancing with concrete
Strapped to my feet, tossed out into the sea
Why you gotta scream at me when everyone is listening?
Calm down, you're waiving that gun too fast
You got to breathe
How am I gonna talk to you when I'm wearing bricks for shoes?
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E
R-E-T-E
Cling on tight to loose ends

Claim that I frayed them, when I tried to save them
I couldn't do it
Vodka tonic freak out
Is 20 really that tiring?
Cause lately you're spiralling down
Melodramatic, or maybe you're manic
I'm sympathetic, accepting you for every flaw
At least I tried to see the world through your eyes
It's like I'm dancing with concrete
Strapped to my feet, tossed out into the sea
Why you gotta scream at me when everyone is listening?
Calm down, you're waiving that gun too fast
You got to breathe
How am I gonna talk to you when I'm wearing bricks for shoes?
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E
R-E-T-E
Tell me when we'll get this, when we'll get this off the ground
Feels like never
I'll be spending my nights, spending my nights on the town
No sleep ever
It's like I'm dancing with concrete
Strapped to my feet, tossed out into the sea
Why you gotta scream at me when everyone is listening?
Calm down, you're waiving that gun too fast
You got to breathe
How am I gonna talk to you when I'm wearing bricks for shoes?
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E
R-E-T-E
C-O-N-C-R-E-T-E

The Ready Set is the solo project of 21 year old Jordan Witzigreuter, started November 17th, 2007. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, his interest in music formed when he began playing drums at the age of 10. He says that he came home one day and his mom told him that she had signed him up for drum lessons. He states that those lessons are the main reasons he is where he is in music today. By the age of 14 he was playing in bands, playing drums while getting more familiar with other instruments, and by the age of 16 he was touring in them.
